Blockchain.com welcomes world-class leaders to scale Institutional Sales+Trading offering

As the crypto market continues to evolve, particularly in Asia, Blockchain.com is well-positioned to grow within existing institutional markets and expand into new ones.  

Since acquiring the OTC trading and executions business of Singapore-based Altonomy to accelerate the growth of our institutional business in 2022, Blockchain.com continues to establish a presence in some of the largest institutional markets. We are building for the future and doubling-down on offerings for institutional investors, particularly within the derivatives space which we firmly believe will be a key component of market expansion going into the next cycle. New hires Ryan Rabaglia and Sana Cherukuri are joining the team in Singapore and London, respectively, to steer the company’s global strategy. Their strong experience will be a gamechanger for our institutional offerings. 

• Ryan Rabaglia joins Blockchain.com as Head of Institutional Sales and Trading and Managing Director of the Asia Market. Ryan is based in Singapore, and joins Blockchain.com from Libra Capital, which he co-founded in 2019 to deploy proprietary capital to high profile venture investments across the Web3 space. Prior to Libra, Ryan was Managing Director and Global Head of Trading at OSL, Asia’s leading digital asset platform, where he led the trading strategy and client interaction across OTC trading and a growing range of institutional trading solutions. He has more than 15 years of financial trading experience, spanning equities, forex, commodities and digital assets. Prior to joining OSL, he built the trading desk at Octagon Strategy, the first and largest institutional digital asset trading platform in Asia. Ryan has deep expertise in electronic trade execution and strategies as well as the digital asset markets, and advises early stage projects on Asia- and US- centric growth plans. 

• Sana Cherukuri joins Blockchain.com as Global Head of Derivatives, building out the over-the-counter options business and managing the derivatives book globally from London. She joins from Genesis, where she was a senior trader on the industry’s preeminent derivatives trading team until the unit was put up for sale as part of the Genesis bankruptcy process earlier this year. She has a degree in Psychology & Behavioral Economics from Duke University and started her career at Macquarie Bank, going on to trade commodities for a decade in a mix of sell-side & buy-side roles before entering the crypto space in 2021.
