Interviewing at Blockchain

What to expect, more or less

1

Resume review

Once we have your LinkedIn or resume in hand, we’ll review it and get back with you as quickly as possible. We get thousands of wonderful applicants every week so at times it takes longer than we would like.

2

Phone conversation with a talent member

Conversation being the key word. Ultimately, what we’re after is learning what makes you you. We also do our best to give you more details about the company and the role.

3

Code or portfolio review

If you are interviewing for an engineering or design position, we like to spend time understanding your technical skills. You can complete a mini project for us or we can review previous professional or personal projects on your Github. For designers, a portfolio is a must. If those options don't work, you can have a technical interview with one of our engineers.

4

Video chat with hiring manager

It’s much easier to make a connection face-to-face. We understand it’s not easy to get away from the office (there are only so many excuses you can come up with) so we are flexible and open to using WhatsApp, Google Hangouts, Skype, or a good old-fashioned phone call.

5

On-site visit

Depending on which team you are interviewing with, this can take anywhere between 2 to 3 hours. Ask questions. Be curious. We want you to learn as much as possible.

6

Reference check

Checking references helps give us a flavor of what you’re like to work with as well as what it will take for you to get the best experience possible at Blockchain.

7

Welcome to the family!

If it feels good to us and it feels good to you, then let’s get started. The door is always open to feedback so please don’t be shy. You can tell us privately or publicly on Glassdoor. In everything we do, including interviewing, we strive for perfection through iteration.

So, are you Blockchain material?
